Questions to ask oneself with care for life‘s sake.
Why do anything at all?
Is it because we are getting validated by doing it?
Is it because we are getting appreciated by doing it?
Is it because there is nothing else to do?
Is it because we want to save humanity?
Is it because if we don’t do this or that thing we’ll miss the rat race? We are getting out of competition?
Is it because others are doing that thing and if we don’t do the same, we are afraid of “fear of missing out”?
Or
Is it because if we aren’t busy enough, we have to face ourselves—all its anxieties, insecurities, confusions, jealousies, and competitive urges?
Is it because we’ll be respected and treated differently?
Is it because our environment and society wants us to do it?
Or
Is it because we are so important?
Is it because if we don’t do the thing, this world will fall apart?
Is it because we want to impress others?
Is it because we are inherently talented by some genetics and privileged by the environment?
Or
Is it because we, with our heart, mind, and body, want to do the thing for life’s sake? and explore the infinite potential we all have inside?
It’s not a problem if we do because of all these. We can definitely do the things for above reasons. But asking these questions to oneself is to be aware of these to understand this complex life of ours.
This awareness makes this mind—sharp, alive, passionate for this life.
This awareness will take us to those different incomparable questions—where questions are complete in itself.
Why don’t we do the things because this is only one life of ours, so miraculous existence of ours—an existence with which we are experiencing this vast universe— stars, planets, sun, moon, galaxies, nebulae, and our very own this beautiful world?
Why don’t we do the things because we have this only short lived life of ours with that—we can think to solve problems with care, we can create the resources to make this existence of ours beautiful?
Why don’t we do the things because we can communicate with each other— not to perform for each other but to heal together?
Why don’t we do the things because we can create a happy world for each one of us beyond gender, religion, nationality, class and for every other species with us?
Why don’t we dream and make it reality for us —travel from star to star for every human being of this world?
Why don’t we do the things because we are just here to explore, to wander, to laugh, to cry, to create, to rest and the fullest of all it?
Why don’t we do the things?— because whatever we do out of love, that is the beginning of infinity where reason and motive dies, only the flame of passion exists and we start living fully.
